Rules and Regulations
Use and Interpretation
The rules set out on this page apply to all bets. The only exception is if the rules for individual sports specify otherwise. In the event of a dispute, market information takes precedence over the General Rules or other sports rules.
If the Special Sports Rules do not apply to certain markets, the General Rules simply apply to them.
Market Information
Market information fully determines how the market is managed and bets are placed. If necessary, Crickex has the full right to suspend any market for any period of time at its discretion.
User Responsibility
Each player must read and understand the Rules and Regulations of the markets on which they place bets. Please note that Market Information may not include the full rules.
Suspicious Activity Rules
Crickex reserves the right to cancel bets, close accounts, or temporarily freeze them in case of suspicious activity. The use of VPNs, multiple accounts, or unfair betting practices is all considered suspicious activity.
All decisions made regarding customer accounts and bets when reviewing cases of suspicious activity are final.
User Betting Disputes
In the event of a dispute regarding a bet placed or paid out, the player should contact technical support. In order for the request to be considered, the player must provide detailed information about their complaint.
Managing Markets In-Play
Please note that Crickex freezes bets on an event at its start and end; however, the timeliness of these actions is not guaranteed. Players are responsible for all bets placed and not placed in live mode. Live statistics and live broadcasts on Cricket platforms may be delayed.
Results and Market Settlement
General
All markets are calculated based on market information or the rules of a particular sport. If official results are unavailable, we will rely on independent sources. In case of uncertainty, bets on certain markets may be frozen.
Resettlements
Markets on the Crickex website may be settled after the official results of the event or immediately at our discretion. Market calculations may also be revised or cancelled in the event of errors. This may affect customer balances.
Non-runners, Withdrawals, and Disqualifications
If a participant or team that is supposed to participate in a competition withdraws from the competition or is disqualified, bets will be voided immediately, but only if no official result has been announced.
Winner with [Named Selection] Markets
If a particular market depends on a competitor, but that competitor does not participate in the event, then that market will be cancelled. If a competitor has a qualification or official result, then that competitor is considered to have participated in the competition.
Abandonments, Cancellations, Postponements
When placing bets on Crickex, please note that if a match is not completed within 3 days, bets on that event will be considered invalid and will be refunded to customers. This only applies if the results are still undetermined.
When it comes to tournaments, if the event has not ended within 3 days, bets will be accepted based on the official decision of the governing body. Bets will be void if no decision is made within 90 days of the scheduled end date.
Change of Venue
If the venue of an event changes to the home stadium of one of the teams, bets on that match will be cancelled immediately. This only applies to team sports. In other sports, bets remain active. In the event of a change in the playing surface, bets will remain valid.
Periods of Time
If players have placed bets on an event that has not yet started, but its duration has subsequently changed, all bets on that event will be void.
In the case of bets on temporary markets, if the outcome occurs in extra or compensated time, it will also be counted. Bets on a match are accepted during its main and compensated time. Bets cannot be placed during extra time.
Match Bets
Bets placed on cricket events are settled based on the score at the end of the match. If the match is not completed by either participant, bets will be refunded to customers (unless otherwise stated).
In competitions with multiple rounds or races, the winner of the bet is determined by which participant covers the longest distance or achieves the best result. If the participants do not advance in a single round, the bet is considered a draw.
“To Qualify” Markets
Any qualifying market will be determined based on the criteria specified in the market information, regardless of whether the participant will participate in the next round.
Dead Heats
In the event that there are more winners than expected in a single event, the winnings are calculated as follows:
Bet/Number of Winners × Deal Price.
Exchange Multiples
Accumulator Bets on the exchange are regulated by exchange participants, i.e. customers who place bets against each other there.
A multiple bet consists of several stages. Stage 1 is the result of a single outcome in the coupon. Players can place ‘for’, ‘against’ or mixed bets. In the case of bets on outcomes within a single stage, the odds will be reduced.
Some markets cannot be used for multiple bets. If one of the outcomes is cancelled, the multiple bet will be adjusted automatically.
Rules for Starting Price
The concept of SP is used in exchange rates. The starting price for the outcome is formed by equalising all SP rates and other exchange rates. Each SP is calculated to 6 decimal places and then rounded. SP rates cannot be withdrawn after they have been placed.
‘Keep’ Bets Option
If you placed a bet before the event started but want it to remain active after the outcome goes live, use the ‘In-play: Keep’ option. This ensures that your bet will not be cancelled when other unmatched bets are.
Tote Betting Rules
A Tote bet is a bet against Crickex. Once placed, it will be placed in the appropriate pool. In the event of any discrepancy in the rules, the rules of the racecourse or the Tote website shall take precedence.
Miscellaneous
The temporary rules of the exchange correspond to the time zone of the match. We are not responsible for errors, although we strive for accuracy. Crickex has the full right to correct errors and exercise fair market management. If an error is made in the betting market, we may freeze bets on it or cancel bets that have already been placed.
When calculating the market, wins and losses are rounded to the nearest decimal place. For BSP bets, rounding is done downwards.
Specific Sports Rules
Cricket General Rules
If bets on an event have already been placed but the event has not started, all such bets will be void. This rule does not apply to outright bets. In the event of a match being shortened, bets will be settled based on the official results. The Duckworth-Lewis method is also taken into account.
If the result of the match is determined by a bowl-off or coin toss, all bets on it will be void. This rule does not apply to outright bets.
Cricket Test Matches
If a match has started but has been cancelled, we may void all bets on it. If a match has not been completed within 5 days of its original end date, all bets on it may be voided.
Cricket Limited Over Matches
In the event that the winner of the match is not determined, all bets on that match will be void. This does not apply to outright bets. Bets placed less than 30 minutes before the start of the match will be void if a new draw is held on the designated reserve day.
Cricket Super Over Rule
This market is calculated based on the number of points scored by the teams in the super over. In the event of a tie, the market is calculated as a ‘draw’.
Soccer General Rules
In the event that a match is postponed and we are unable to do so on Crickex platforms, we reserve the right to cancel bets on the event. If the match has not started by 23:59 local time, all bets on it will be cancelled (unless the match is postponed within 3 days).
If an event occurs that causes the match to be interrupted and not completed by 23:59 on the scheduled date, all bets on it will be cancelled (if the match is not rescheduled within 3 days).
Soccer Specific Scenarios
If a team is relegated to a lower league, bets on that team are considered winning bets. Special rules apply to the outcomes “Shirt Numbers” and “Time of First Goal”. In the “Top Goal Scorers” market, only goals scored in the specified league are taken into account.
Tennis Rules
In the event of a player withdrawing before the completion of a set, bets on the event will be void. If the scheduled duration of the match changes, all bets on the event will be void. This rule does not apply to outright bets. Withdrawal from the game or disqualification will automatically void bets on the set or match.
